A year ago today on 13/11/2010 One Direction sang The Way You Look Tonight on Week 6 of the X-Factor competition. Now a year on, 13/11/2011 They’ll sing Gotta Be You, their second single, on that same stage as a guest performer. One Direction entered the competition as 5solo singers, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Liam Payne, they had never met one another and had never even thought of being put together into a group. Now, a year on they’re the strong boyband that we all know and love, from coming 3rd in the X-Factor, to their first single What Makes You Beautiful, to ‘Gotta Be You’ out today! They haven’t just had to work as a group musically, but they had to build a friendship, a fanbase.. The #1Dfamily are so proud of them, so much as happened in a year; Their first album is out in just over a week, next monday Up All Night will be in our hands and we will be the proud owners of that album.
